On September 25, a meeting took place at the Gipuzkoa Chamber of Commerce in San Sebastian to launch the Working Group on Wind Turbine Data Sharing. It was attended by 22 participants, 9 in person and 13 online.
The working group will be coordinated by Xabet and will include wind turbine component manufacturers, software companies and agents from the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network.
Its main aim is to provide wind turbine component manufacturers with access to the data required to operate wind farms, so that they can obtain value from them and improve their competitiveness.
The working group is part of the DAEKIN project headed by Tecnalia (and subsidised by the Basque Government's ELKARTEK Programme). DAEKIN seeks to define baseline architecture for a data sharing platform based on the IDSA ecosystem. This architecture will make it possible to implement a digital data platform on offshore wind energy.
After the presentations made by the Basque Energy Cluster (ACE), Xabet and Tecnalia and the contributions made by those present, the meeting concluded with the formulation of the work plan for the coming months.
